This one time I interned as a blogger for this upcoming Hip Hop label. I really sucked at writing about Hip Hop but I did get to work with this awesome bro, John Clement Bollozos. After we all peaced out on the label, John & his badass sistah Kat started Clement & Co. and apparently started producing music vids? There are not enough double-jointed-look-at-my-vag cage dance moves that could distract me from the fact that Shakira’s She Wolf is a HORRIBLE song. Just flat out bad.

Yesterday, TMZ posted some audio of Christian Bale freakin’ the hell out on set. Pitchfork cites it as pulling a “Russell Crow”. As unfortunate as it was for Christian (<3), it was an chance for LA’s The Mae Shi to make this epic tribute song / youtube vid.
The Mae Shi has now proved themselves to be worthy of not only critical acclaim for their remarkable 2008 release, HLLYH, but also to be revered for their quick wit (literally… that audio of Christian was released YESTERDAY). They are obviously opportunists that keep up with entertainment news. We need more bands like The Mae Shi. Talented musicians who can also use their art for social commentary.
