Tangents & The Times

So, on Tuesday, The Hills aired an episode that was filmed at the lounge I used to work at, Medusa. Luckily, I wasn’t on it. Anyway, the point being is I was then (momentarily) subjected to the horror of the Hills Live After Show.

The Hills After Show features a dude that looks like he should be drinking happy hour PBRs at Cha Cha lounge, discussing Tegan & Sara.

Because HE DOES.

The next day I was curious as to what this Justice loving, Rivers Cuomo idolizing, Shortstop regular was doing on The Hills After Show. After some research, I found out his name was Dan Levy. I continue Googling this Dan Levy cat and it turns out he’s funny. I watch some of his youtube vids and read he was on Comedy Central and then I became even more confused as to how this guy ended up on The Hills After Show. On his Wiki, it mentions a number of hosting gigs at MTV, none of which have to do with the Hills.

So, I trudged on searching for evidence that he was in fact on the Hills After Show and why? I wanted to know why on God’s green earth would a funny, award winning comedian end up doing a show that revolves around talking about the Hills.

Turns out THERE ARE TWO DAN(IEL) LEVYS.

You know, you’d think being Eugene Levy’s son would get you a liiiittttleee further in life. I mean, he is in all the Christopher Guest flicks. He did that movie with Sammy Jackson. He was in American Pie for Christ’s sakes! You poor bastard, you must be a real schmuck if you have an insta-in and you end up gossiping about bitches who are famous for no reason for junior high girls.

In order to help everyone else out there who is confounded by the Dan/Daniel Levy issue (I don’t blame you– they both wear glasses), I have made this venn diagram for future reference.
